Name the Infantry Skirmish Game
Feb 10, 2003 — Chrome |
|
Have you ever looked at a game and thought to yourself "If I had my choice, I would have done such and such differently..."? Well now here's your chance! Mil-Net and Reaper Miniatures are working together to give you a chance to name Reaper's upcoming Heroic Scale (TM) scifi infantry skirmish game. All that you have to do is come up with one or twenty names that you think would be a good fit for the game and send them to us. We'll pick several winners and forward them on to Reaper, who will have final say in the selection process. Read here for more information.

CAV 3rd Printing, Revised
Feb 17, 2003 — Blitz |
|
Matt "CAVBoss" Ragan sent us an exciting email this morning. Here's what he had to say: We have finally hit the "reorder point" with the 2nd printing of the CAV main rulebook (almost 10,000 copies of the rules have gone out plus incalculable free rules downloads from the website). So in the works for release is CAV 3rd Printing, Revised. It will incorporate into the rules a whole new layout for ease of reference and clarity, all the clarifications, Errata and FAQs from JoR1 and JoR2 as well as corrected point costs and correct System and Weapon Modification charts from JoR1 and JoR2. Nothing new (it's not a new edition, if you have JoR1 and JoR2 you've got everything in it) which is why it's not called 2nd Edition, however we're hoping the new layout will make it better for everyone. For those of you who have felt that the current rulebook lacks in the examples department, Matt told us that "It has a lot of examples. I mean... a LOT." He also said that the tentative release date will be Winter of 2003 and that they're considering making it hardbound with a full-color interior! Work has already begun on it. This gives CAV fans 3 books to look forward to in 2003: the JoR2, due out in May, Rules of Engagement 1, targeted for summer, and the revised Rulebook next winter.

Just a reminder about a couple of conventions that are coming up, aka the "big three"...

Remember, if you are going to any of these, get your accommodations and registrations taken care of ASAP instead of waiting until the last minute like I normally do... heh
