Our thanks goes out to Aegis for pointing out on the forums that Reaper has posted pics of the new whites for Dingo and Fenri (N-Scale), both of which are listed for September releases.

On the same page you can also see the whites for the N-Scaled Tsuiseki, Kikyu and Hedgehog. Speaking of which...

Production is Rolling Again!
Sep 04, 2006 Chrome

As promised, its Sept. 4th and the resized Mitso-Ta Tsuiseki ($10.49), Mitso-Ta Kikyu ($9.49) and Mark IV Hedgehog ($12.99) are available in the Asylum Online Store.

At 13 bucks, the Hedgehog should be an impressive chunck of metal, but its the Tsuiseki which I'm most excited about. It really looks great and has always been my favorite gunship. I can't wait to get a flight or two of these painted up in my Steel Griffons colors!

CAV 2 Information Overload
Sep 06, 2006 Chrome

As anyone who's been following the Reaper forums should know, a small group of CAV community members have been picked to act as the last line of quality assurance for CAV 2 before the rules go out the door. Those rules were sent out to us tonight, but it wasn't the rules themselves which got me the most excited, it was the letter that Ed Pugh attached to the beginning of the file. He followed up our brief instructions with a ton of information about CAV's future and said it could be passed around freely, so naturally I'm going to post them!

Here's what Ed had to say:

To bring everyone up to speed concerning CAV2:

CAV2 will be released as a PDF download. Estimated price will be under 10.00

Product is being designed and scheduled in an attempt to get CAV2 back into retail and on distribution shelves again. The primary new product will be the new starter set. The brainchild of Patrick [MadPat] Haughton, the new starter set will contain a CD with a copy of the new rules.

After the release of the CAV2 our focus here will be on a tournament system for CAV2 & Warlord.

Development of new materials for CAV2 are going to be handled by a third party outside of Reaper, but the release and final approval will be under Reaper's direct control. The release of new material will be all encompassing and not faction focused. Releases will advance the game mechanics, galaxy time line and introduce new elements into CAV2.

Soon (how we love this word) all blisters will be repackaged in the new blister card design and will include a data card.

Existing CAV models will be restated with new CAV2 stats using the new Data Card. Several models will become Faction specific but the bulk of models will be considered Open and available for use in any battle.

And finally a reward for those of you still reading; our edits, suggestions, whathaveyou are due back to Reaper in 10 days, which is Friday the 15th.

New Gallery at Reaper's Site
Sep 19, 2006 Chrome

ReaperBryan added a new gallery to the ReaperMini.com web site that shows off the awesome new N-Scale aircraft models. All of the models they currently have cast are shown next to their previous (smaller) incarnation so you can see exactly how much larger the new minis are. If the model didn't have a smaller version, he placed them next to a '60 Dictator for reference.

This really is a sweet tool! Thanks Bryan!
